Coca – Cola Beverages Africa has an exciting vacancy of Payroll Officer at one of our Mozambique Bottlers – Matola-Gare Plant which is the leading producer of various flavors in Mozambique for the last 24 years. This is an officer position that reports directly to the Compensation and Benefits Manager with no subordinates reporting to this position. The incumbent will be responsible of calculating employee’s compensation, updating our internal payroll database and ensuring timely payments.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
-Prepare employee’s compensation by the end of each month;
-Ensure wages and tax withholdings comply with the labor law and internal procedures;
-Enter new employees’ data into internal databases and updates other information;
-Answer questions about compensation, benefits, taxes and insurance deductions;
-Print and issue pay slips;
-Assists with SAP functional queries including transactional, navigation and problem solving;
-Draws HR reports, analyses trends and reports on these;
-Provides reports to customers as and when requested.
Skills, Experience & Education
-Honors Degree in Accounting, Human Resources or relevant field;
– 1 to 3 years of experience on Payroll or related fields;
-Strong math skills with an ability to spot numerical errors;
-Time-management skills,deadline driven and ability to work under pressure;
-Good knowledge of Mozambican labor legislation;
-Knowledge of remuneration policies and processes that reward performance and retain skill and potential;
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
-Ability to operate independently, demonstrate initiative, sensitivity and maintain confidentiality;
-Ability to gather, analyze and report on key business and HR metrics to support decision making;
-Ability to diagnose problems and identify solutions regarding payslips queries;
-Advanced computer skills including, Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP will be considered as advantageous;
-Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
