The merchandiser is responsible for ensuring products on shelf / in cooler as per channel Picture of Success. They will control quality in trade through stock rotation and POP placement and disposal, to the extent of:
Merchandise to standard – Space always fully stocked to Picture of Success Promotional displays – Built / execute as agreed Quality Management – Stock rotation & POS in good condition and not outdate .
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure implementation of Picture of Success – coolers & shelves fully stocked at all times Execute trading term space agreements negotiated by Account Manager Identify and execute across merchandising opportunities No cooler / space abuse allowed Train customer’s staff in proper merchandising standards Provides feedback to sales staff on any issues and opportunities in-store Execute all planned promotions Build promotional displays and retail theatre displays wiht space negotiated by salesman Manage product age through effective stock rotation Manage in store image and subsequent disposal of all advertising and brand material
Skills, Experience & Education
Must be able to think on their feet and have swift resolution periods of 24hours – 48hours Must be structured and be able to plan quarterly in advance to meet the annual targets 3 year Sales/ Marketing or equivalent Diploma/Degree Post matric sales and marketing qualification. Ideally a minimum of 2 years previous sales experience or equivalent FMCG experience.
