Description The External Communications Lead focuses upon advising on, planning and communicating the external image of Vodafone and providing information, including business strategy, financial performance, products and services, corporate responsibility and sponsorships, through engagement with the media, general public and industry analysts – reactively and proactively. The External Communications Lead as the recognised technical expert will Identify and communicate the external image of Vodafone on topics critical to enhancing the company�s reputation and helping Vodafone to positively influence conversations affecting our business. Typically reports to the Senior External Communications Manager.
* Creates content, drafts press releases and drafts reports to support the external image of Vodafone; * Uses external communications best practice and knowledge to provide compelling content or reporting for the external communications function ; * Understands and keeps up to date with current affairs and relevant content topics and ideas to participate in story creation and content creation having a positive impact on the external image of Vodafone; * Demonstrates strong communication and diplomacy skills persuading and influencing wider key business stakeholders to maximise the reach and impact of the initiatives and objectives of the external communications team ; * Uses judgment to analyse and monitor the impact of communications on: business strategy, financial performance, products and services, corporate responsibility and sponsorships, proactively identifying problems and suggesting appropriate solutions ; * May provide informal guidance to junior staff; Skills Competition law Economics in telecoms Broadcasting and content Pro-active external communications, engagement, and campaigns strategy Understand Telecoms products and services, platforms Financial and payment services International Institutions/ Relations Security.
