
Description
Role purpose: Manage and guide the trade marketing team and insure that the company’s marketing strategies are successfully executed. Provide high-level support to retail, Direct and Mpesa teams. Is responsible for the planning, implementing and supervising the field and activations teams and projects in line with the company’s strategy. Build a strong relationship with the region municipality authorities.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
• Insure that the “picture of success” is implemented in the trade and in all retail stores and WICCs
• Manage and coordinate all marketing activities on the trade and insure H&S rules are always applied
• Manage and insure all resources available (Radios, CVM, Top Produções, DDB, brand ambassadors, etc.) are used to grow demand and educate customers on our products and services
• Manage the distribution of merchandising and branding materials allocated to the region
• Engage with local authorities & municipality and build a strong partnership relationship insuring that all agreements are fulfilled and that taxes are paid in time

Academic and professional qualifications
• Degree in Marketing or other related areas
• Further diplomas and certificates In trade marketing, distribution and sales is an advantage
• At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Telecoms or FMCG company is an advantage

• Manage events budget
• Manage team travel budgets
Key performance indicators
• Regional GA, revenue and sales growth/target achievement
• Implementation of the pictures of success measured through teams feedback (Retail and trade)
• Execute all planned events with successful outcomes and have all MOUs agreed signed

Risks
• Long distance driving ( mostly in tough roads and rural areas)
• Spend most of the time in the road/market
• Work in very crowded environments
• Breach of Health and Safety rules
